Are you feeling your relationships don’t offer the support or safety you wish they did? –Instead, there’s lots of people-pleasing, arguments, and just not feeling heard.
Past experiences keep cropping up and you wonder if they could be impacting how you’re feeling. Some days, you might not recognize yourself…..like you’ve lost the motivation or confidence that used to come so naturally.
But you know there’s more to life than this cycle you feel caught in—a way to not just feel better day-to-day, but to understand the deeper roots of what’s caused it to begin with.
You’ve spent your days, maybe years, navigating the same relationships and upheld the same expectations, but now you are seeking change. Unfulfilled, struggling to connect with others and the status quo does not feel the same anymore. It feels harder to pretend that everything is ok.
No amount of meditation, deep breathing, or distracting yourself has helped.
You know deep down: life doesn’t have to feel this way.
Yet knowing what to do next has been hard…until now
I'M HERE TO HELP YOU WITH.....
YOUR THERAPIST SHOULD GET YOU.
HI, I’M ALEXANDRA
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and sex therapist. I specialize in working with individuals and couples seeking to understand themselves and navigate difficult circumstances and relationships. Through Trauma-informed techniques and other appropriately applied therapeutic approaches, I’ll help you establish your sense of self, and be more grounded in who you are.
Sometimes talk therapy is not enough to help us overcome deeply rooted core beliefs and alternative interventions such as Ketamine Assisted Psychoptherapy (KAP) and Clinical Hypnotherapy that can help you reach meaningful goals during our sessions together. As a board-certified clinical hypnotherapist I can provide hypnosis during sessions to help my clients overcome negative beliefs, fears, sexual challenges, and relationship issues.
ALEXANDRA LEADERMAN, MA, LPC
Therapy is vulnerable. Therapy is emotional work. I believe that your therapist should get you. You should feel some form of validation while doing the raw work that therapy requires.
I know how it feels to wonder if the person sitting across from you understands your story or believes or even remotely relates. I have navigated my way through diverse settings. I have met people from various backgrounds. I know what it is like to be type-cast and to wonder if the person I am speaking to really gets what I am saying. I know what it is like to be a chameleon in order to navigate different social circles.
I want to support you because I know what it is like to wear the masks. It is because I no longer wear those masks that I know you can shed your masks too.
Therapy is the last place where you should feel like you need to wear a mask. Come. Sit. Put the mask down and talk with me.
I am also a Ketamine-Assisted-Psychotherapy (KAP) Provider
I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), the use of ketamine as a complement to psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with an organization called Journey Clinical, which has a specialized medical team that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribes the ketamine, & supports us in monitoring outcomes. If you would like to explore the possibility of working with me on KAP, please e-mail me at [email protected] to discuss eligibility and next steps.
Alexandra at Denver Colorado Counseling offers safe and confidential Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy sessions. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy has been proven effective for reducing symptoms of Treatment-Resistant Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, and other ongoing stressors or past traumas that get in the way of a client’s functioning.

SPECIFIC ISSUE(S) I’M SKILLED AT HELPING WITH
I’m a licensed mental health therapist and sex therapist who loves helping people fall in love with their relationships and live their desired lives.
“Therapy is the act of utilizing relationship in a healing context, which is the most natural place where healing can happen. Therapy is the ‘stopper’ that keeps humanity from rushing out of our culture.”
Why Do You Do What You Do?
Are you curious why you do the things you do, and why sometimes those things hurt you and hurt others? So am I. People come into therapy with a desire to change, or to understand; sometimes it is to alleviate emotional pain, and sometimes it is simply the need to be listened to. I help clients develop curiosity about the stories that make up their lives. I assist in their search for meaning, helping guide them to make choices that better serve their goals and desires. My work with clients is a joint creative process, and the project is your life!
Getting Started
I am an active therapist, asking questions that can lead to you understanding what keeps you from getting where you want to be. Therapy can put you in a position to decide what is of value to you and what you would like to let go of.
I welcome smart individuals and couples who are ready to get to work. I offer psychotherapy that identifies and explores options and choices around relationship/dating/sexual issues with spouses, intimate partners, friends, family, jobs, yourself, your moods, and the world. The work I do is a specific discipline unlike any other, and I am committed to the results you want.
